GRANDMA

Just a picture of my Grandma...I miss her.

LAST YEAR AT THE COTTAGE...

These pictures were taken last year when we were cleaning up at the cottage. I love the beauty of fall..and it is particularly beautiful at the cottage since you can see the reflection in the water of all the colors...I also love these photos because it is just kids being kids...and helpers. I have not gotten any "Fall" shots as of yet for this year...hopefully soon...but for now, I will just enjoy these!

A HANDY TIP

This is a fabulous way to fold your clothes...fold your shirt normally and then in half again...then file them index style in your drawer. This is perfect for keeping drawers neat...and no more flipping through to see what you have...you can see them all right there! I love this!

CAPTURE THE WIND

I admit this was harder than it sounded. I love these curtains in my girls room...they make me think of the wind even without a breeze. I just wanted to post these cute pics of Eli. Ive been having fun staying home with the two boys...I seem to be playing more with Eli since the other kiddos are gone...which is nice...he is really good at self play too, so I dont feel like I cant get anything done...although I DO have lots to do. THROUGH ASHERS EYES...

Just fiddling around...and thought it was neato...(Wow...I haven't used that word in ages...)

EXCITED!!!

Okay...I am just excited today. Last Friday was my first "foto Friday challenge" and the subject was "Beginnings"...and I tried it out, and it was very fun! This weeks challenge is: "Capture the Wind" and it is a lot harder than I thought. The picture I came up with is so ordinary, but I really like it. You'll have to wait until Friday to see it! Also...I have been making DVD movies of my pictures...I LOVE doing that. I did a really nice one for my sister in law of her baby shower. It is sooo easy, and a great gift too!

I am excited for Fall as well. I think it is a beautiful time of year...and well...who doesn't love pumpkins and mums?

Enjoy the rest of the day...time to make meatloaf for supper...another thing I enjoy...the aroma of a good meal...

Bat Removal Project...COMPLETE!!!

This is the upstairs "landing". We took out the small room between Isaacs room and the small yellow room. Looks like we need to refinish the floors...maybe a carpet for now. The wall color is called Lambswool.

The small yellow room, has ready to use crawl spaces for our junk to enjoy...this color was called colonial yellow.

Isaacs bedroom...My mom said the color was startling or something like that...I like it...its called hydrangea...the floor has to go...

We are currently trying to go through all of our stored items downstairs in hopes that not all of them will go back up...it is going slower than we anticipated...but...am glad that we arent being to hasty...we lived like this for 2 months...whats a little more? Hooray!

Beginnings

I am smiling today!

Its done....ALL FINISHED...HOORAY!!! We are in the midst of trying to get all of our "things" into storage. This has all been quite a blessing in that regard--I have been able to get rid of SOOOooooo many things, and also give to good will and those who have needs. It feels good to purge...(you know what I mean!)

Remodel Project....

They said they would be DONE today. Where ARE they? Why are they not HERE? I may not be able to smile tomorrow if they dont come. PLEASE dont tease me!!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!

First Day of School...for some.

JUST BECAUSE I LOVE HIM...

CRAZINESS...

Last night Cory and I were watching tv...enjoying the fact that all the kiddos were asleep...when we heard a loud screech and a bang...I looked out the window and could see a car burning...Cory told me to call 911, and he went up to assess the damage. He yelled down to me to get the fire extinguisher...he kept calling to the person in the car and could get no answer. Some of the other neighbors that heard the crash ran to get their fire extinguishers as well. Looking at the car we were sure that there was no survivors...Cory kept calling, and then all of the sudden a kid was standing next to him telling him that it was his car, he did that...all Cory could say was..Dude...how did you get out? He had a scrape on his elbow that was about it...oh and the fact that he was drunk out of his mind might have had a bit to do with it too. He ended up taking out part of the guard rail...the neighbors mailbox, signs, and a utility pole. The reason Cory could not get an answer from him at first was because he and his friends ran down to his house to get a chain to pull the car out (which did not even belong to him...and ended up having tickets in it for driving without a liscence)...they thought that if they pulled it out...nobody would know..hmmm. Anyhow...his friends must have been the true kind because they took off in their own car so that they would not get caught...It was a CRAZY night! Turns out it was this kids 21st birthday...Happy Birthday ya crazy drunk...youre lucky to be alive! And so are the rest of us!

I'M CRAVING THESE........

I am in the mood for this sweet and salty treat...but don't have the makings...drat! They are soo good...a pretzel....add a rolo...put it in the oven for a little....press a pecan in and voila...everyone thinks youre wonderful...ha.

About the bat project...I guess they will be finished early next week...all that needs done is the finishing...and that takes a lot of custom cuts and what not...the colors look great though!

School starts next week...I am not quite ready for my kiddos to leave. I don't feel like I have had enough of a summer with them :( I do crave the routine that comes with it though...that will be good for me. I am sure Eli will notice the lack of playmates too. Oh well...

Hope everyone is having a wonderful end to their summer...it just went way to quick though, huh?

THE MESS WITH THE HESS....

Look Mom...see this Hess truck...on my head..ha ha...sadly it turned on and her hair got all snarled up in it...I got most of it out...the very last couple of strands I had to cut...you cant tell though. At least I got this picture for future bribery...hehehe!
